Today was a proud moment for Crown Portugal as our 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐃. 𝐒. 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢, 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡:

Mr Saini was focused on discussing the challenges faced by the Indian community in Portugal, especially:
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬
The unjustified rejections of residency and regularization applications by AIMA (Portuguese Immigration Authority)
Mr. Saini strongly emphasised the need for:
Transparent and fair immigration procedures
Protection of immigrants’ rights
Continued diplomatic support from the Indian Embassy

  𝐀𝐈𝐌𝐀 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐄𝐅 The SEF ended, and it was replaced by the Agency for Integration, Migrations, and Asylum (AIMA). This new agency has taken over the administrative functions of issuing documents for foreigners in Portugal. The powers of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF) are divided among seven entities. Police officers previously with SEF will now work for the PSP, GNR, and PJ. The administrative tasks concerning foreign citizens will be handled by the new agency and the Institute of Registration and Notary Office (IRN).
