Portugal launched a Job seeker visa. The Visa has been introduced to cover the labor shortage and will be issued at the Portuguese consulate abroad. Validity of Visa 120 days further extended 60 days concerning an able residency permit subject to legitimate valid employment contract after entering the country.

This visa program offers the privilege of requesting a residence permit after a working relationship has been set up and standardized during that period. In addition, there are some conditions for applying for this Visa as well mentioned below.
- The Visa will only be approved if the person has not obtained an entry restriction into the country or another Member State of the European Union (EU).
- It will also be compulsory for the worker to have a ticket back to their home country (in case he cannot get a job) and financial resources, called means of subsistence.
- Based on this document, the applicant can only search for job opportunities in Portugal and not for jobs in other Schengen countries.
- Job Seeker Visa holders will only be able to enter Portuguese territory once, so it will not be possible to travel abroad during the initial 120 days or the remaining 60 days if an extension is requested.
